Our boat "Resalto"

“Resalto” is a traditional boat of “varkala” type. Since 1994, the EU in its effort to mitigate the overfishing of the Mediterranean, has enacted a law to destroy traditional fishing vessels. Since then, thousands of boats have been ignominiously cut down. The shipbuilding peculiarity with which they have been built has been shaped through centuries of observation and evolution in modern wooden shipbuilding. Very few shipwrights are now alive and know how to build such a hull, making this a dying science. Using the boats for recreation is a wonderful way to preserve their memory. “Resalto” is therefore a floating museum.

See its beautifully curved lines and feel its light bounce on the waves. This feeling is not accidental, it managed to develop after centuries of harmonizing with the Aegean environment.

Where to find us

Our boat is located at the port of Porto Rafti, specifically at Agios Nikolaos. You can see our exact location from where the cruise starts on the map.

Weather Forecast

Want to check the weather during your cruise? Accurate predictions are only available a few days in advance. We have created a guide that explains your experience in an easy and understandable way.

Our story

Tour Captain

The love for the sea led Dimitris to follow the naval profession and to be the holder of a 2nd Class Master’s Diploma in the Merchant Navy. He has many years of experience as a Chief Petty Officer and Officer of the Watch on ocean-going LPG vessels specializing in marine communications, ship planning and maintenance of safety equipment.

At the same time, as a holder of a sailing diploma, he practices his hobby in the East Attica area with his personal boat. His experience and countless hours of continuing education on various nautical topics, his certification as a lifeguard and his passion for the sea make him the most suitable to offer an enjoyable and above all safe cruise!

Q&A

We start from  Porto Rafti and cruise towards Artemida across the coastline. We make four 30 minute stops for swimming and diving from the boat: Tourkolimano, Church island, Tortuga beach and the Sunken Sea Cave. During the cruise, we visit more attractions as well such as the Colossus of Raftis, the Blue Lagoon and Love Cave. You can see our destinations here.

Our cruises take place daily Monday to Sunday weather permitting. Check the daily schedule here
For a full day cruise (6+ hours) the boat must be booked privately. Check the details here.
You can see how many spots are available at any time through our booking system. Choose the cruise you are interested in here and you will see the available spots.

You can find all the information about our cruises by clicking the “More Information” button below the cruise you are interested in.

For example, on the East Attica Hidden Gems cruise, we welcome you with coffee and cookies, followed by freshly baked pastries from a local bakery, and fruit at the end. The price also includes two beers or soft drinks per person. Water is provided free of charge.

For private cruises, we follow a different policy: the cruise and the food are selected and priced separately, offering greater flexibility.

We start each cruise from the port of Porto Rafti. You can find our exact location here

Yes, there are two large bimini tops that provide shade over a large part of the boat. At the same time, there are places under the sun for those who want to sunbathe.

We recommend booking at least 1-2 days in advance to guarantee your place. However, if you are interested in booking during the weekend and in high season we suggest you book at least 4-5 days in advance as these days are more in demand.

Yes, of course! We have welcomed children aged 3 years old and younger who could participate normally in the cruise program and swim. Young children must wear a life jacket which is provided by us but you can bring your own swimming equipment as well.

During all 4 swim stops we drop anchor in the sea close to land. You can enter the sea either from our vertical ladder or by diving directly from the boat. The locations where we drop anchor are at least 2 meters deep.

Of course! We have designed our own ramp (walkway) specifically to allow wheelchairs to pass through. The width is 60 cm and on our boat we have a wheelchair which is suitable for it.

Our boat has a maximum capacity of 35 people (33 passengers and 2 staff members).

Weather is hard to predict if you have booked a cruise 5+ days in advance. As we get closer to the date, the forecasts become more accurate and we get a better picture of the wind intensity and if there is a possibility of a cruise cancellation. We always wish for good seas but in case of a cruise cancellation we get in touch with you as soon as possible. You can check the current weather forecast here

We have uploaded all the information about private cruises here.
